Not Quite Clear

Not Quite Clear is an exploration of the communication gaps between people speaking different languages.

There are two LCD screens displaying pre-recorded videos of people speaking Chinese and English. The screens move forward and backward depending on a set of rules. These rules are based on the
analysis of the audio input from the videos. The screens are controlled by two toy tank treads, motors and a micro-controller. While a person is talking the screen representing them will move forward pushing the other screen backwards. If both people a talking the screens battle trying to understand each other.
